Our website and blog has been sadly neglected. We’ve had some difficulty finding someone that is as passionate about blogging as we are about knitting.
We are still active. Meeting once a month from September to November and January to June. And attending both the Lower Mainland Sheep Producers Association’s(LMSPA) annual fleece sale, Wool ‘n’ Ewe A-Fair, and Fibres West.
We will continue to look for someone to update the website regularly but until then we invite you to join as on Facebook and Ravelry, where we have a more active presence. And someone is always monitoring the email account so if you have any questions you can email us at email@example.com.
Our meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of the month at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church (16613 Bell Road, Surrey). We meet on the lower level, behind the church, in the daycare. Meetings start at 7:30pm.
This years meeting dates are:
October 28th, 2015
November 25th, 2015
January 27th, 2016
February 24th, 2016
March 23rd, 2016
April 27th, 2016
May 25th, 2016 (This will be our Annual General Meeting)
June 22nd, 2016
We welcome anyone that is interested to join us at one of our meetings.

This months meeting will be a bit of a change from our standard programs of late. We will be doing a Stash Swap!
Sometimes knows as a Stash purge, we encourage you to go through your stash and if you have anything in there that you no longer love, that you won’t use, that you simply can’t bear to look at… bring it down and toss it on our pile! Then, check through the goodies that your guild-mates have also brought and go home with something lovely!
This is not about monetary value, nothing is to be sold, so if you prefer to cull your stash and sell it on e-bay or Ravelry please do so. This is simply a way to pass on your unwanted yarns to your knitting companions. If you bring things you don’t want to take home again, no problem. Leave them for us to create learn to knit kits. If you bring something but don’t find anything you like, no problem. You don’t have to take anything home, this is not about bring three take three.
This is a lot of fun, you never know who will go crazy for that sock yarn that is collecting dust in a corner of your craft room! Feel free to bring sweaters for recycling and any tools or books that fit the bill too. If you don’t want it any more, where better to find a good home for it? The easiest recycling you will ever do!
Also, please bring friends who would find this fun! As long as they understand the guidelines they are welcome to clean their stash and drop it in the pile too! Or perhaps you know a new knitter who is in need of supplies, I am sure we can get them started!
Ths meeting will still have a business portion and we do still need to elect a president, so think about volunteering to help your guild by chairing the meetings next year. Other than that, search your stash… and bring it on down!
