There are some fun knitty things to get up to this summer!
First up is World Wide Knit in Public Day (which funnily, is now two weeks) On June 11 you can stop by 88 Stitches in Walnut Grove and be part of their crowd of folks. Always fun!
There will also be a WWKIP Day planned by the Guild! June 18 at 1pm Douglas Park. Bring chairs, blankets, water and sunscreen! We will knit together on a sunny Saturday! It is also the Langley Community Day! which means there will be food, music and lots of interesting booths to look at!
Next up is Maker Faire Vancouver June 25 and 26th. Our own Jenny is organizing a space for us to teach folks to knit! The faire itself looks like it will be fantastic, and we need volunteers. Ask Jenny. If you are interested in going, but don’t want to demo Jenny also has some tickets for sale at a reduced rate.
Surrey Museum will be hosting Pic-Knit on August 6 which is a interesting gathering of vendors and knitters, as well as an encouragement to see the exhibit at the museum. We are hosting a table there so please volunteer and have a great day out!
If I have missed anything, please let me know! If you think that we should be somewhere with our table and some swifts or just to hang out, let me know! July seems open!
